The objective of MARS events is to create an immersive and authentic environment, which seeks to replicate the life of the average infantryman within a company vs company engagement within a specific historical scenario. We accomplish this using authentic equipment and uniforms, airsoft as a medium of combat, establishing correct chains of command, realistic issuance of combat orders, and controlled distribution of munitions and rations.
The next MARS Training Event is currently TBD. We typically host one a year in the Spring.
The purpose of the training event is to establish a common core of tactical knowledge, leadership, and equipment familiarization.
The primary focus of this training event will be to instruct participants on basic patrolling techniques and provide an opportunity to get some repetitions in with your kit.
This is to ensure that the quality of both your experience at The Gothic Line, Operation Santa Fe, or Nikopol Bridgehead is both immersive and rewarding.
The training event is open to all MARS attendees. Your impression must be one of the impressions that are reenacted at The Gothic Line, Operation Santa Fe, or Nikopol Bridgehead.
We look forward to seeing you at this MARS Training Event, and especially at Operation Santa Fe this June, The Gothic Line this October, and Nikopol Bridgehead in February!
*Note, we will be camping on the field in our period correct gear and impressions. This is done to help everyone familiarize themselves with their equipment and for ease of the training event.
*Food will be provided, cooked out of a period field kitchen.
*Make sure to bring your airsoft replicas and safety glasses. At the event there are training periods in which the Axis & Allies fight one another on the field using what they’ve learned in order to test their knowledge and train.
